Akure, Nigeria – Rev. Fr. Jorge Mario Crisafulli, the esteemed Provincial of the ANN province, recently concluded his comprehensive annual visitation of the eleven Salesian communities within our Province. Embarking on an insightful journey, Fr. Crisafulli journeyed from Koko community to Abuja, then to Onitsha, Akure, Ondo, Ibadan, Ijebu-Ode, Omole, Onipetesi, and concluded his visit at the Iju community.
The primary objective of this visitation was to engage with the dedicated workers, enthusiastic youths, diligent students, Salesian family & Cooperators, and the Salesians themselves. Fr. Crisafulli’s presence provided a unique opportunity for individuals in each community to voice their concerns, offer suggestions, and discuss the ongoing projects and initiatives.
Throughout his visitation, Fr. Jorge demonstrated his commitment to understanding the needs of the Salesian communities, fostering a spirit of collaboration, and gathering valuable insights. He met with the workers who tirelessly contribute to the success of the various institutions, including the health center, printing press, secondary school, technical school, child protection centers, institute of philosophy, and skill acquisition centers.
Moreover, he engaged with the dynamic youth community, recognizing their immense potential and providing guidance to further their personal and professional growth. He also spent time with the students, understanding their educational journey and offering support to enhance their learning experience. With the members of the Salesian family, he met with them and expressed the desire of the Salesians to ensure there’s peaceful and effective relationship with the lay people of the various communities where they are situated.
The Provincial’s visitation was marked by fruitful conversations, constructive dialogues, and meaningful interactions. Fr. Crisafulli paid keen attention to the concerns, suggestions, and aspirations shared by the individuals he met at each community. Their feedback will be instrumental in shaping future plans and strategies for the Salesian institutions.
The annual Provincial visitation serves as a testament to the Salesians’ commitment to their mission and the holistic development of the communities they serve. The efforts of the Provincial in personally visiting each community demonstrate his dedication and genuine interest in the welfare of the workers, youth, students, lay faithful, and Salesians.
As Fr. Jorge’s visitation comes to a close, the Salesian communities are filled with gratitude for his presence and the opportunity to share their experiences.
