LAGOS
Iju Community
Although already functioning a year before the official opening in November 2017, the Mary Help of Christian Community Iju, was officially known as the Delegation House.
This was where the AFW Provincial Delegate to Nigeria, Fr. Prince Anthony Oche, lived.
On the 11th of November, 2017, during the 35th Anniversary of Salesians in Nigeria, the Delegation House was officially opened by His Grace, Most Rev. Alfred Adewale Martins, the Archbishop of the Metropolitan See of Lagos. The impressive architectural landmark was constructed inside the Chief Rotimi Williams Estate (Kay Farms), Fagba, Iju, Lagos.
It stopped being a Delegation House and became the Provincial house for Fr. Jorge Mario Crisafulli, the first Provincial of the new ANN Province, on the 27th of March, 2022. Meetings with the Councilors and other official Province meetings take place in the Provincial house.
The community has a chapel that caters to the religious and spiritual needs of the locals around. For the children and youths, there is a Youth Centre and a Sports complex. The Provincial house is also regarded as the Youth Administration Centre that will coordinate all the activities of the Salesians in the Province. The community has a skill acquisition center where youths train and learn various skills and become certified in the process.

Omole Community
Following the approval of Don Pascual Chavez in June 2011, a new presence of the congregation was opened in Omole Phase 1 Estate, Lagos. The first group of Salesians arrived in Omole Estate on the first of September, 2011 to begin their work in a then quasi-parish known as Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit Omole.
To achieve the prior objective of training the youths, the community has engaged in conducting free Holiday camps for students, building of a Youth Animation Centre, working towards developing an Advanced Technical Institute in Shagamu (a 40-minutes’ drive in the neighbouring Ogun State), building a Rehabilitation Centre, and a Child Protection Centre.
The church has grown from a once-a-week Mass Centre to having two Masses per day (except Saturdays). The congregation currently numbers above 500 people at Sunday Masses. There are about 25 lay apostolate groups and committees in the Church and several members of the parish also serve at Archdiocesan levels. Although there are 3 priests in residence, the Church has been richly blessed by priests from all over the world who have celebrated the Holy Mass with the lay faithful.
