JOBITEH Obosi Celebrates International Women's Day 2025

Ibolo-Obosi, March, 2025

Jobitech Obosi, in collaboration with representatives of the PDO, celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) and People with Disabilities in a grand event as part of its ongoing GP2 activities. The celebration brought together women from all walks of life, including young female students from various secondary schools in Anambra State, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and unity.

While the global theme for this year’s IWD was “Accelerate Actions,” Jobitech Obosi reflected on a more specific theme: “Inclusivity and Equity: Celebrating Women and People Living with Disabilities.” The keynote speaker, Mrs. Chinaza Olisa Atuchukwu, a proud Past Pupil of Don Bosco and Marketing Manager at Odenigbo FM Radio Station, Onitsha, Anambra State, inspired the audience with her impactful address. She emphasised the need for a just, fair, equitable, and inclusive society where women are respected, empowered, and given opportunities to thrive. She also called for greater support, acceptance, and empowerment of people living with disabilities, urging communities to treat them with dignity and fairness.

Interactive sessions allowed participants to present their ideas and engage in meaningful dialogue. Attendees were provided with sanitary materials, fostering greater awareness and care. Moreover, moments of interaction and networking created opportunities for future collaborations.

As Jobitech celebrated IWD and People with Disabilities, the institution reaffirmed its commitment to educating young people to embrace one another and work towards a society where equal access to education, TVET, healthcare, and employment is a reality for all.
