Based on the guidelines of the initial AFW Organic Provincial Plan, a new Salesian presence was opened in Kontagora Vicariate-Northern Nigeria in Koko area of Kebbi State, North-West of Nigeria in 2014.

The Koko community has been able to actualize the following: a Parish, Youth Centre, and annual holiday camp.

On the 16th of June, 2022, 150 students attending the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre in Koko, received scholarships based on the following criteria: youth who were directly affected by bandit attacks, teenage girls who were about to be forced into marriage, youth from poor backgrounds, and orphans who lost either parent. Other students selected had not received any formal education and were willing to learn a skill. This Vocational Centre was opened in October 2021, and it started educating 154 students, majority of whom are from poor families.

On the 5th of February, 2022, the residents of Koko community played host to prominent men in the Catholic church during the inauguration of Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre and two hostels in Koko, Kebbi State.

The Skill Acquisition Centre, was co-funded by Manos Unidas, the hostels were funded by Salesian Missions Spain and Bishop Bulus Dauwa Yohanna of Kontangora Diocese in Kebbi State Nigeria, while the computer lab was funded by New Rochelle. The Centre currently offers training in Fashion Design, Computer, Electrical Installation and Building Construction.
